What is that thing?!: A saiga I purchased new over a decade ago. Off to conversion therapy it went. Threaded barrel, Krebs custom full length hand guard, “SHM” G2 trigger, Magpul folding stock, Hogue rubber grip. Everything else original Russian steel. That is unsealed rattle can you see. It has taken deer and coyote almost yearly, along with group paper punching.
What I want: Equivalent 5.56 rifle that uses AR mags. Think mid-high tier AR, Tavor…NOT your Kel Tec, Del Ton, braced pistol, etc. Can work out combinations of mags, ammo, accessories, etc to bring the two sides as close as possible. Ultimately doesn’t have to go anywhere and will be back in the deer woods in a few weeks if I don’t see anything I like. Thanks for looking!
