That doesn't really mean anything unles you research the same type of events for the past 10-20 years or so to see if there's any difference. This may be the norm, but just hasn't gotten much press until lately. It's very interesting none the less.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I may be a product of government schools, but I spent enough time in the lab and field to know that a single datum point does not a trend make. In that sense, most science fields are relative.

Still, even if it is common, it's not something I knew about before and it's kind of weird to think that death on this scale could be that common.

I don't even want to contemplate what it means if it's not the norm. :nailbite:

Blame BP and the gulf oil spill . Hydro carbon gas can turn into toxic green house gases. Is it possible ??? not sure I'm no expert , not sure if these die offs are historical . these die offs seem to have started post BP spill .

people give me funny looks and say interesting comments when I'm outside in jeans and a t-shirt when it's 5 degrees. I simply reply, I'm toughening myself for either the upcoming ice age, civil war; where I'm forced to venture out for days at a time with minimal supplies, or for when the government decides to screw us and cut of our natural gas supplies.
