Have you ever shot with a smaller dot like the Holosun’s 2 moa dot? I was surprised to find that the small dot really showed how unsteady I was. The dot looked like it was shaking while I was aiming on target. I’ve been told that a larger dot like a 6 moa helps make the unsteadiness less noticeable and some people prefer a large dot for that reason. I took some tips that I got here on INGO that has helped me steady the dot better.
Yeah I have several 3 MOA dots on various pistol , 22s , 45s and used them on 357 revolvers. Have a couple 2 MOA tube style red dots on 22 pistols. All the 9mms I've owned thus far have been used with 6 MOA dots , Holosun , Vortex Venom and Sig Romeo 1 Pro. The 6 MOA Romeo for some reason seems overly large compared to the other two. The Holosun that should be here tomorrow for the P226 is a 2MOA. The P226 shoots fairly well with the 6MOA but hopefully better with the 2MOA.

Just posted in the INGO CLASSIFIEDS a P229 DAK .40SW with an optionally available new SIG OEM P229 .357 Sig barrel.
New barrel was just fired 12 shots to test, and this is all I've fired it since I got it.

This is a pistol I got from Gunbroker early last year when I over bid on too many pistols because I'd been losing auctions and got stuck with more pistols than I counted on.

I'M SELLING IT FOR $570, THE TOTAL COST I PAID TO GET IT INTO MY HANDS FROM GUNBROKER.
    ($476.09 sale price
-> $546.11 with gunbroker fee, credit card fee, sales tax, shipping
    + $25 Transfer Fee = $571.11)

I paid $169.50 (plus shipping) for the optional barrel and will let it go for $130 on top of the pistol sale price for a total of $700.

Really surprised this hasn't sold?! What a great gun for the price. That AXG frame is a really ergonomic and soft shooting frame.

Does anyone have an idea of what a P220 .22 conversion kit new in the box goes for nowadays?
About 18 months ago, USDS had one for sale used for about $200. It was marked as being for a P226, so I bought it. Then, in a fit of blind stupidity, when I realized that it was for a P220, which I did not own or even want at that time, I took it back and the refunded the money for it. Now, I have P220s and would love to find one again.

So, apparently they sold for about $200 used about 18 months ago.

The guy that wouldn't hesitate to build a gun around an extra roll pin returns the conversion kit? :stickpoke:

Seems like a very fair price compared to what a new one costs.
Must be another one where potential buyers want him to give it away, or are sitting around waiting to see how far he'll lower the price.

There often seems to be no rhyme or reason to how things sell on the classifieds.

I know, right? At the time, I had zero interest in the P220. I figured that my 1911s scratched the single stack .45 itch quite well. For the first time in my gun buying life, I thought that I was being smart.

I'm still waiting for my first time being smart about gun buying

    In the country, hopefully.
It was the source of that hole, yes. I'm not usually into two-tone, but it sure is a joy to shoot.
It is a beautiful gun. If I didn’t already have too many 320’s I’d of jumped on it.

My AXG’s seem to be more inclined to shoot one hole groups than my P226 and 229, which really surprises me, just looking at the construction.

USPS brought me an Armory Craft P226 SAO hammer today after being back ordered quite some time.

Had to get it installed. The hammer pretty much eliminated the weird creep in the factory trigger and pulled the trigger weight down to a very crisp 2 pound 8 ounces. Still not quite 1911 but pretty darn close. Factory hammer on left:

Surprised there’s a factory trigger still in it…

I wonder how much one of their P226 DA/SA hammers would help my P226 Elite. The single action pull has has creep and is no where near as crisp as some of the old German P226s I have felt. Also considering sending it to Grayguns as I am so disappointed in the trigger in both both DA and SA.
