I’ve been back and forth on Sig triggers and DA/SA in general in my journey to ultimate gundom.
But it’s pretty cool how many people compare Sig and CZ.
I believe I’m in the DA/SA world to stay now, with the exception of my 320’s.

Pretty much all my go-to guns are tuned to some degree or another, while I have no competition weight triggers I will have to say the nod goes to CZ for smooth and clean when it really comes down to it - but that’s just my experience so far and I know I don’t know what I don’t know. Shoot, a year ago I didn’t know what all the hubbub was about the CZ’s!

The real attraction for me though, is the simplicity of the design. There are some designs that achieve beautiful function with a fairly simple mechanism. The 1911 and Glock designs are the high water mark there. Classic Sigs are not complex pistols internally and unlike the 1911, most parts are drop in fit.

For such a simple design just wish it didn't cost a small fortune to get a nice trigger , at least from Grayguns or The Sig Armorer. My mid 1990s German P220 had the best out of the box DA/SA trigger of any of the Sigs I've owned. Did not even think of doing anything with the trigger.

My 2022 made in USA P226 Elite has awful creep in SA and this crunchy or gritty feel in the first part of the DA as the hammer spring is being compressed. The trigger on my 2007 P220 Carry feels a lot smoother in DA and just a trace of creep in SA.

But one thing ALL the Sigs I have owned shared is shooting great. The creepy P226 is no exception. Most likely the most accurate 9mm I've owned.

I call this my “Frankenstein” 1911. Para frame, Citadel slide, Sig barrel, various other parts from WC, Ed Brown and EGW.

Quite possibly my most accurate hand gun right now.

A tuned or well broken in CZ still has the best trigger to me. Sigs are pretty good with use and/or tuning, but CZ still gets top spot.

Now, for out of the box trigger or accuracy, Sig is my favorite. My CZ Phantom was truly awful out of the box.

Agreed. I have always been surprised how bad the triggers are in most other pistols out of the box.

but it worked. Darn thing ran something like 80 rounds straight out of the box and bone dry. No balloons survived.

Years ago when Sig first introduced their 1911 American Rifleman did a write up and review. I remember reading that it achieved a group average of 1” @ 25 yards.

When I saw a really great deal on that Sig barrel, I remembered the review and thought why not! I’ve been really impressed with it!

If I remember correctly, out of 10 shots I had like 7 or 8 in one ragged hole, with another couple rounds scattered very close to it. I haven't shot that well in years...

I just remembered how well it shot and how little recoil there was. It was crazy.

Wow ,really nice target! Was that free handed at 25 yards? I have a Holosun coming in for my P226 which should be better for target shooting over my Romeo 1 Pro.

I wish I could hold that steady at 25 yards! That was wtburnette’s 10 shot group at 10 yards standing unsupported. My groups were a tad bigger at 10 yards.

Have you ever shot with a smaller dot like the Holosun’s 2 moa dot? I was surprised to find that the small dot really showed how unsteady I was. The dot looked like it was shaking while I was aiming on target. I’ve been told that a larger dot like a 6 moa helps make the unsteadiness less noticeable and some people prefer a large dot for that reason. I took some tips that I got here on INGO that has helped me steady the dot better.
