lawn company fertilized right after I mowed last week, it rained the next day, then got sunny. Grew like crazy, I mowed Monday, we got a light dusting of rain, and then sun. Mowed again today.

I only fertilize to get the grass growing good, and then treat for weeds annually. It grows well enough as it is.

Best time to put down weed 'n feed is in the fall, when the movement in the weeds is downward. I do crabgrass preventer/fertilizer in the spring, then weed 'n feed in the fall.
