So does that make the 19th a holiday now for everyone or just the Ex slaves in texas or just black people in texas ?

Yeah, I think Texas and a handful of states recognized it, but it only became a federal holiday today.

It's for everyone that recognizes federal holidays. If you get Memorial Day, the 4th of July, etc. off, then you'll get Juneteenth off too. It's really not a bad thing yote. I think everyone should be pretty happy that slavery was abolished.

The holiday is tomorrow for us. Don't know what to tell ya yote. I'm a federal employee and we only found out late this afternoon.

Well I’m glad someone gets it off !
Tomorrow is my last day at the job I have now , so don’t really mind it.
I really want to go to work believe it or not cause I have patients I won’t see anymore and want to tell them I’m quitting for another job.
Gonna miss some of them , will probably go visit a few after I leave .
Never had Juneteenth off for 50yrs so tomorrow is no different .
