That sounds a lot like Edward's Drive-In down here. They're also famous for their tenderloins, but frankly I wasn't impressed.1960 style place, little jukeboxes still on the walls in the booths. And a counter with stools all around. Hand-dipped ice cream as well.

When I was growing up, my best friend's grandparents were from Germany. His grandpa fought for Germany in WWI. I hated going over there for dinner. One of the things his grandma made (a lot!) was Sauerbraten.Rathskeller dinners. So awesome.
I dunno... any time my meat smells or tastes "sour" that means it's spoiled and I throw it out. I did just think of another time that I do actually use (apple cider) vinegar and that's in my cole slaw dressing, but it's only like a tablespoon and it's tempered by the mayonnaise, sugar and celery seed. Cleaning my coffee maker with white vinegar even makes me gag.Love Sauerbraten but I would think it would be a fine line between just enough and too much vinegar
Oh dang. I did forget about sauerkraut. Gotta have that for my Reubens. Not a fan of mustard on my pretzels though. I like cheese sauce.The sampler of “wurst”, sour kraut, and giant home made pretzels. That mustard is crazy hot.
