I was talking to a fellow enthusiast, and told him I was jones-ing for a double action .44 revolver. He said "Don't you have a .44 already?"
"Well yea" I said. I have a super blackhawk. He said "That's enough. You'll never shoot double action anyway, you'll always cock it first. You won't hit anything with the second shot." ........
    'THE HECK I WON'T!!!"
Found a nice Redhawk for nearly nothing. Stainless, 7 1/2" .44 mag.
"BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!
Oh yea. That feels good. Oh, I hit it alright. Good sanity maintenance. :D

Yea I hit it alright. All six times. But, sometimes I just go out, point it at the far off hillside and just shoot it. Not at anything particular, I just like the feel of shooting it. Does that make me unusual? I do it with the 45-70 rifle too. I just like the way it feels....:ar15:

I was the opposite, I bought a 629 first and then a super blackhawk hunter. I pretty much learned to pistol shoot on that DA 629. I can't shoot any of my other handguns half as well as I can shoot that 629.

Why wouldn't someone be able to hit rapid fire DA with a .44? It's a gun, isn't it?

It'd be nice to, once again, live somewhere I could 'just go out back and pop off a few'. Alas, I fear those days are long behind me.
