INGO, I have been talking myself out of this for years...

I'm a no-name but I'm also a combat Veteran, medically retired Chief, husband, father, Christian, conservative, problem-solver who sees a lot of problems in DC. I have a little money but a lot more energy.

I'm tired of the standard issue politicians who would rather attend ribbon-cutting ceremonies than meet with the people that voted for them, who would rather talk than listen, who says they'll fight for you but they get to DC and we never hear back until election season.

Several of you on here have met me. I'm just a normal guy still young enough to take some chances. I fought for our country and freedoms, I'd do it all over again too. Right now there's another fight, this time it is in the political domain and I'd like to see it stay there just a little bit longer. That's why I've decided to run for congress for Indiana 5th District. I have not went public anywhere except here, INGO, you're hearing this first. January 5th, 2022 I will file my declaration of candidacy for the Republican primary race and challenge Victoria Spartz.

If you too are all done voting for the standard-issue politician, then stand with me. I want to hear from you all. The website is nearly done, but I am all set to start hosting some zoom town halls now. It should be obvious that I'm all the way pro-2A but there's plenty other issues we should be talking about (1A, 4A, voting integrity, money out of politics, transparency into politics, foreign conflicts, vax mandates, to name a few).

I know this is crazy, but I'm crazy enough to begin the overthrow of the political class.

Who's with me? Contact me at cam@cam4congress.us if you're in!

    God bless,

    Cam Murphy

    Awesome news Cam!

Good on you for having the testicular fortitude to lay it all out on the line like that!

We need more men like you in Washington.

Good luck and let us know any way we can help.

God bless you! The number one need of this campaign is, and always will be, prayer. The second need is going to be word of mouth! Everyone that knows me knows this is not about money, I'll be taking a pay cut, and they know it's not about the fame/infamy, I'm an introvert.

What I'd like to do is start hosting zoom town halls. Let's get one scheduled with all of INGO if we can!

Good on ya, man! But can I get you to move a bit north and east so that you could run in the 3rd district? :)

As I tend to agree for Sooooooo many reasons I would ask what do we replace it with and how to navigate national issues which we will have them. Borders/defense as in military and coastal waters etc.
can’t just shut off the lights on the hill without a solid plan.

But not in the world we currently live in. The states could not pull this off. Not today. Far to many enemies and more when we stop paying them to like us when they only like our money and goods.

    Just. Won’t work.

It is worth noting the central state is not doing well at all with its delegated powers. Further, it has a long history of such failure.

    Can it.

    I respectfully disagree.
OK and no disrespect taken My friend but what you are Asking for is far more complex then just shutting down the cesspool system we are suffering under as we discuss this.
The states could run themselves of course but there are far larger and more complex demons to be dealt with outside the simple solution you are calling for.
Hell no the central state is not doing anything well. Nothing but they have things In Place that we need to stay in place only managed better.

So in this I would ask how we should effect this change.
Not calling you out just looking for a path.

Sounds like "bargain with the Thief I know, even though I know the Thief has a long and well established history of incompetence, falsehoods, corruption, and theft". And now the Thief that has stolen from me has "things I need", so I must be loyal to the Thief.

I am not convinced that is the only path.

The thief has no authority other than than which was stolen, and thus not legitimate, and that which is delegated.

Delegated authority is subject to withdrawl along with the accompanying obligations.

Calhoun wrote a great piece on the matter titled "A Disquisition on Government". It is well worth the read.

Be all that as it is, I often wonder if folks around Boston, and Lexington, and Concord had such concerns. I fully expect they did.

What will we do without imports?
What will we do without the British Navy?
What will we do without a king to serve?

Fortunately, there were some that were ready to address different questions.

Well, I see you are missing my points although they be valid.
I don't want the same bosses in any involvement I am just saying we cannot exist as a nation without them and yes, I want to see this continue as a nation. Someone/something has to be in place to cover the issues I listed as in borders/defense/etc.

Imports, well, they are an evil we will still need because we do not have everything here. Who organizes and runs that show?

This is a very deep and dark rabbit hole that you suggest at every turn without a solid plan.
I am only looking at how we could do this. To eliminate the rat hole on the hill would be great, But there would be Soooooo many loose ends.

Defense. Thats huge. Again, screw the pentagon and those corrupt asshats. But still, this is a necessity as I see it.

I am saying a complete restructuring with new faces and a set mandate as to limits on authority and status. The individual states cannot do this. Hell my brother we cant agree on what time it is twice a year let alone operating at that level so some centralized pieces would have to be in play unless.....as my original question....how to do this.
Not looking for an argument or a deep debate just ideas.

Well, we do come at it from different perspectives.

Some see it as a nation.
Some see it as consenting States.

Borders and defense are only two examples of where the central state has a long record of consistent failure.

And I agree to the failures of the central state but again, individual states could not take care of these issues save giving the border states that power. Which I can see as a positive especially Texas.

But yes, this is one nation under God. How do we change this without complete upheaval?

There is no "giving of that power" by the central state. The central state has only delegated powers.

The State simply recalls that authority which it delegated.

Regarding "one nation under God", it may be.

The only place I have been able to find that phrase is in a pledge just prior to "indivisible"...a pledge written by a socialist minister.

I'll stick with the pledge made by Jefferson.

Brother as much as I respect you in your opinions and posts I am still not getting an answer or even any ideas on how we could do this. That was the debate I was trying to open up in hopes others could add to it.
But It seems I am lost in this one.
Much respect to you sir and seriously I give 2 ****s who wrote it. It is still the pledge I grew up with so be it.
    Be safe.

    Likewise, Sir.

Francis Bellamy is the author of the pledge.

John Calhoun is the author of A Disquisition on Government.

Vastly different folks with vastly different conclusions.

I will go back and see where I missed the answer you are looking for.

I do not look at this as an "upheaval". It is simply an exercise of the nineth and tenth amendments and, perhaps, a breach of agreement by the delegate.
