Kids are off school today. My wife is taking the younger two with her to visit her mom for the day. I’ve planned a Dad/guys day with my oldest here. Taking him to see the Antman movie he wants to see. Then some range time with him!

Stepdad used to give a swift swat to the butt, which fixed the problem unless the kid was sick, over hungry or over tired. In those cases they got medicine, food or the bed, whichever applied.

Checking-out of the State Park inn, then heading 20 minutes west to the cabin. I brought a shop vac, and it's time to start the yearly cleaning of the cabin.
It's not my favorite task, but at least it's going to be a nice, warm day !

Well, the wife has Covid again. Thankfully she isn't too sick. It's going around the nursing home she works at and so far three therapists are out with it. This is her third time... So far, I'm negative.

Went out and ran the C2 for 50 rounds. This gun is incredible, you have to do something really dumb to miss. The P is even more accurate.

Went to the doctor yesterday.

Making small talk while she looks through test results.

Doc interrupts her own sentence and says, "we should do an EKG now?".

"Now?" I respond faintly.

"Yes, now".

End result was the EKG is fine and I now have proof of a possessing a heart.

My reasons for sharing this is we've been discussing ages recently and I would advise those of you under 50 is to stay young, healthy and in shape....

Just got home from ICU, heart valve replacement is in my near future. Started off as a squirrely EKG while under during cataract surgery. Picked up my meds and have one that even with insurance is worth more than gold. Yikes!
