I went ahead and got one too. Given comments I lined the back with electrical tape. Feels pretty good and doesn't look bad, although my Springer is black and it is blued. Only one short range session so far but I will give it a little time.
I added one to my 9mm 1911. Works pretty well.

I get a spicey, gunpowder, gun oil aroma, with a hint of bengay, bourbon, and leather, smells great :yesway:

These are a few of my favorite things.

    .
Found in the back of the safe, suppressed 22 from the 80s, one of my earliest projects, and a T series Browning that was part of an early 80s NFA deal. Never have fired it. Good memories from each, the 22 was good at getting rid of pests at out first house, mainly raccoons. The Browning from a friend long past. extras.jpg

Very cool. What is the significance of the T series Browning?

I bet that can isnt very light either.

The can is from an American 180 that I sold. It was part of the package when I bought it, but at the tremendous rate of fire on the 180 the can just would not stay together. You can see all the chipping around the seams. This got around the NFA world and nobody wanted them, so when I sold the gun I put the package you see in the picture together to make use of the can.
