Yes sir. I whined a bit to mcapo about the rules or target sizes in the days leading up to it. I was wrong and it was all a lot of fun. Tip of the hat to you mcapo. :patriot:
Don't worry, he likes the feedback. LOL
I'm hoping at the next event I'll be more of a challenge to you guys. Also, I hope the next event is not the next time that I go shooting! LOL

It sure took all the variables out of the game except for one.

That's going to be funny all year. :lmfao:
Let me just apologize in advance for my future behavior in this matter.

It's unlikely that I will ever out-shoot you so I am going to get every mile out of this that I can. Every single mile.

Made my 3rd range trip today, including Friday and FGE on Saturday.
Had the place to myself, no rain except for a brief 5 minute sprinkle and no wind up until it was time to leave. Win/Win/Win.

Ran 150 rounds of Lapua Center-X through the 457. First box was without the tuner and just the factory thread protector installed. Had a 0.174", 0.257" and a 0.316" group at 50 yards with a 10 group average of 0.466" (including the 5 fouling shots at the beginning).

After that I ran 100 rounds with the Harrell Tuner and ran out of ammo. I wanted to run several more groups at 3 of the settings (143, 144, 145) to see if averaging 0.3XX sized groups were a possibility or not. None of the groups with the tuner ran better than the groups without the tuner, but I'm really after consistency more than anything. I don't expect myself or this rifle/ammo combo to produce consistent 0.1 or 0.2 size groups, but I'd be really happy with something around 0.4 or a little less. I'll play more next time and see what she does.

Found a cool way to show the groups better, use backlighting. Reminded me of using a lite brite as a kid for some reason.
