What part of "shall not be infringed" do these cops not understand?

Right? Enough with this 'interpretation', there's no age limits set forth in the original text. Next thing you know, INGOtarians will support zoning regulations and grass cutting ordinances. Pandemonium in the cul de sacs!

Stripped of all context for obvious reasons, but statement from a mother in an interview where a juvenile who came to police attention in a manner that involved my sphere of influence:

Did you know your XX year old was carrying a gun?
    -Yes, you see the news.

So there is certainly some segment of the population who are intentionally arming their pre-driving age teens for self-defense from their peers. Given the maturity and decision making ability, along with the lack of supervision and accountability also commonly seen in the lives of these same early teens, results are predictably leading to both accidental and non-justifiable injuries and deaths.

One can, and should, rightfully ask how much accountability rests with a 13-15 year old raised to believe this is both normal and accepted behavior and how much rests with the adults in that child's life. Where do they learn different and who do they see model that behavior from birth to teenage years?

Proverbial nail on the proverbial head.
