It's a little early in this discovery, but what the heck?! You guys with T Mobile may want to look more into this. Skimming text messages and flagging conversations! Then implementing fines. I don't want to eloborate as it may be speculation at this point.

Their rules pretty much sum up every text I send!!

S.H.A.F.T. is an acronym that stands for Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms, and Tobacco. It outlines the categories of text messages specifically regulated due to moral and legal issues.

SHAFT is a handy acronym to help you remember types of content which is either forbidden or subject to special rules.
    S: Sexually inappropriate content

    H: Hate speech or profanity

    A: Alcohol

F: Firearms, and depictions or endorsements of violence

T: Tobacco (including vaping), or endorsement of illegal or illicit drugs, including marijuana and cannabis

In addition to the above, the promotion of gambling is not allowed.

A quick skim of a Google search shows this first a possible thing all the way back to 2010 and more recent concern in 2022. I didn’t immediately see anything that indicated anything was actually happening though.

T-Mobile and Sprint definitely block a lot of text messages.

We use Twilio in our SaaS business and easily send out 100,000 texts a month.

Many times we get a 30007 error code. Basically means you sent out something that got flagged and blocked by the phone carriers.

    9/10 it’s T-Mobile or Sprint.

I think that's more related to anti-spam/fraud detection vs any sort of parsing for naughty words. I know a few times legitimate businesses have been caught in my anti-spam filter.

You are on the money. Look up TCR, “the campaign registry”, implemented by mobile carriers. Any sms messaging not originating from cellular, ie Twitter, and other UCaaS services that support sms, are classified as b2p, have to register each number for use, and the content and amount of messages sent under said registry

If you use RCS with end to end encryption, can T-Mobile read your texts?
My phone gives me a choice between RCS (encrypted) and SMS/MMS (not encrypted).
