What or why is it called "Pill Hill"?

Pill Hill=neighborhood in Chicago (many African-American doctors lived there so it got the moniker "Pill Hill"), old school upper middle class. It is the archetype of middle class stability in the African-American community of Chicago--educated, quiet, very "good burgher/good citizen" kind of place.

Ernie Banks lived there. It is known for its Bronzeville Childrens Museum.

Thanks for "the rest of the story.." You had capitalized it so I figured it wasn't just a place where people were going to purchase Oxy....I love the history of neighborhoods and that one seemed a little more mysterious than say "Germantown" in Louisville....

Thumbs up to T-Mobile for their pro carry policy.

Not so much... It appears they have the same "CC for me but not for thee!" policy that most of their elected criminals support:

Clerk with concealed gun permit shoots 2 robbers at cellphone store - Chicago Tribune

The store's spokesman: "Thank god for concealed carry!"

....But the sign on the store's front door:

"NO CONCEALED WEAPONS allowed on this property"

    WTF??!? :dunno:

Maybe the poor Dindu Nuffin's that got shot were merely trying to comply with store policy by switching to open carry and got lit up for their efforts??

Did anyone hear the " Mr. Emanuel open this gate. Mr. Emanuel tear down this wall " speech ? :patriot:I missed it.
Is this the beginning of the end to the Communist state of Illinois ?

"... the store is an independant dealer of T-Mobile products, not owned or operated by the company."
