I wasn't involved!

The 75 years old man was charged with murder and arrested.
Apparently he was legally owning the gun and had a sporting licence.
He kept the gun in his car (a .22 handgun) and shot the victim three times.

Of course in France a sporting licence doesn't allow you to keep a gun in your car, it's just legal to transport it to and from a gun range, or a gunsmith.
He will probably be charged with illegally transporting a firearm as well.
