This weekends gunshow is in Indy.
General admission is $6 per person and table rental is available through central indiana gunshows.

We are getting a truck in this week, will have new inventory at the show.

I'll be set up from Brian's surplus with ammunition, reloading supplies and MREs.
If anyone have any questions about items in stock feel free to ask. I am able to take orders from the store and bring them to the show but please call the store on or before Wednesday so we have time to get your order together

Below I'm attaching a photo of the gunshows for the year. Thank you all and have a good day, hope to see you at the show!

I'm definitely going to the National Gaurd Indy one in late November. It will be my first gun show. My leftist friend thinks you can go and just buy them there. I had to explain the whole you still have to get background by the Federal even though Indiana doesn't require it anymore.. So easy to find this stuff out yourself but he is under the impression they just hand guns to anyone in Indiana. Smfh

Be sure to bring your leftist buddy. Let him see for himself. And tell him you'll even pay his $6 entry fee. (it will be worth it for you to see his face)

Tell him its a lot of fun... great people watching. Not to mention cool stuff besides guns.

Give your friend a copy of this.

Take him to the show, and challenge him to show you how easy it is to purchase a firearm legally.

I'd say you should tell him that if he can find a DEALER willing to sell him a firearm without a 4473 you will pay for it. The idea of a free gun might make him jump at the chance to go. But that is getting danger close to a straw purchase. So probably not a good idea.

If it's from a private collection, you can. No 4473 needed. If it's from a licensed dealer, then you have to fill out the 4473 and they make the call to NICS.

Stout Field is a good show to attend, especially for a first show. Take your leftist friend, for $6 admission it's worth paying for him too.

Background check for purchasing a firearm: absolutely NOTHING changed with Indiana becoming the 24th State with Constitutional Carry of handguns (AKA permitless carry.) From a Federal Firearms Licensee? ATF Form 4473 is required. Nothing changed for private sales (knowingly selling a firearm to a prohibited possessor is a felony.)

Carrying a handgun here in the Great State of Indiana no longer requires permission from the State to exercise a Constitutional Right. The requirements for permitless carry are the same as for obtaining a License To Carry a Handgun (LTCH.)

The gun show loophole: is absolutely utter BS. Three different surveys (two by the Bureau of Justice Statistics, one by Univ of Chicago) of prison inmates doing time for crimes involving firearms were asked, "Where did you get your gun?" 0.8% (ZERO POINT EIGHT PERCENT) in all three surveys: at a gun show. The VAST majority are acquired through illegal means (trading a kilo of cocaine for a duffel bag full of assorted handguns) or through straw purchases (Aunt Flossie brings homemade snicker-doodles to the gun store. For a C-note Aunt Flossie will buy anybody a gun. Aunt Flossie is corrupt as the day is long but you'd never know it.)

So when you take your leftist friend and go in the first room, towards the back wall you'll find the @Brian's Surplus booth pretty much across the back wall. Walk up and ask those guys randomly about buying guns at a gun show. @KMarshall started this thread and will be there, probably @AmmoManAaron will be there too.

even though Indiana doesn't require it anymore.
I'm just wondering what you meant by this statement?

The background check is a Federal requirement, for Dealers.
It is not required for transfers from non-FFLs.

The only thing I can think of that recently changed, was Constitutional Carry.
Which has nothing to do with background checks, or who can BUY a gun.
It only removes the requirement of having a License To Carry Handgun (LTCH).

I think he's conflating the NICS (Federal) check with the (former) LTCH (State) check, which of course has nothing to do with buying a gun at a gun show or anywhere else.

That's a really good idea, he's down to shoot. I don't think he has shot any of my BB guns growing up. Raised as liberalism being his religion even though he is 100 percent Jewish blood. His mom wouldnt let him go into the balls at Starbiz Pizza aka Chucky Cheese and he didn't get a bike til he was 12 but she bought him as much porn as he wanted as a child and could watch any movie and listen to any music he wanted. Not the norm. He's the type that can't get over the name Assault Rifle. He like J. Shreve though, we all gotta start somewhere, I know I did, a freakin identity crises, lol.
