Just stop it.
Who does that? I've seen plenty of .22 available in this area; the price has increased, but not that much.
Indiana is a black hole for .22LR. The usual suspects (Gander, Walmart, Dicks, etc) never have it. You can find it sometimes at places like Point Blank and Rural King but even there it is spotty. Pretty much anyone with significant foot traffic never has any and for the most part whoever DOES get a shipment, its typically gone within a day or two.
Now I have noticed if I go over to Columbus, OH I can find PLENTY, even at Meijer of all places. And at around 6c or so.
I've seen none for less than $50 for a long time. Last time I bought a brick it was $25. I had hope that the stupidness was coming to an end. Before that it was $11.
I won't pay it. I'm not going to pay $35 either.

Scalpers aren't the only ones selling at horrid prices, freaking Blythes in Valpo sells bricks of thunderbolts for 49.99.
In my area, this is pretty much the only way to buy .22 ammo. I refuse.
I'd welcome $35 bricks
Hah, doesn't offend me at all. I have nothing good to say about that gun store... their service and prices are less than stellar... range time at $17/hr. No thanks. At the risk of offending I have heard nothing good about this store price wise.
