Im not sure if this has been talked about but i just happened across this. He makes some good points but I am guilty of posting pictures, mostly of fish which he doesnt talk about. Matt considers himself estranged from Steve now, despite being a former member of the meateater crew. He went head to head with Steve on the meateater podcast episode 304 87minutes in if anyone cares to listen to the brothers battle it out.
Personally I've always been against chartering/high fence at least for what I do. I know theres some hunts that require a charter so not speaking to those. Even in fishing I dont considering chartering really fishing. I dont see anything wrong with it if you're on vacation and go out on a charter but I dont really see that as being in the outdoorsman vein. More just a fun experience if that makes sense. Same with hunting, I watched a video of a guy bow hunt a lion and he had 5+ people around him with firearms, put 3 arrows in it and then pose with it. I know it has its place and brings in money for the community so im not against it but I dont think its really hunting. Im curious to see what others think on here.
