    I'll brush some A1 sparingly on a steak as part of the seasoning, along with some dry spices, let it marinate for a few, then grill it, seared outside, medium rare inside. Afterward, no need. I never understood why someone would do that. That's just gross.

    Only if you consider salt, pepper, and butter in the pan drippings "sauce" :)

    Now, my MiL? She orders her steaks well done, and puts ketchup on them *shudder*
    What a waste of money, just order a chopped steak if you want to treat it like a hamburger!

    About like some old codger buying a new Corvette and driving between five and ten miles per hour under the speed limit.

    No sauce. If prepared properly there is no need for it. I love my steak fairly rare..... I joke that if it doesn't moo when I cut into it then it has been over grilled.

    I see it the same as a chef would to putting ketchup on a steak. I prefer not to alter the flavor of the meat. Rather to enhance it with some herbs and/or compliment it with sauteed onions and mushrooms.
