Time to clear out some older things that just sit in the safe.
First up is a nickel plated Star PD. These are very light and interesting pistols, and I can tell you all about it if you're interested. You don't see a lot of these in nickel, and I would put the finish at 85%.
These employ an alloy aluminum frame and steel slide, and use a recoil buffer which is a wear part and MUST be used and replaced. They are still available on the Internet with a little looking.
Based on an Officer size 1911, it has several main differences including a hinged trigger, captured recoil spring, and a secondary take down notch in the slide. It can be carried cocked and locked, and is a pleasure to shoot. I have owned this since the 90s and at one time it was a primary carry.
The magazines are 6 round. I have 1 factory, 2 Triple K mags that work, and a fourth that I have no clue as to reliability or manufacture.
The pistol also comes with the original box containing all the fiddly bits Star included except the spare recoil buffers. I have some around here somewhere and will attempt to locate them. If I fail by the time you buy the pistol I will be happy to mail them to you later.
Also included is a Bianci Holster which carries the pistol well, and will fit other 1911s.
I am willing to drive within an hour of Danville, IN to make the deal. Must show IN DL and LTCH, nothing recorded.
