Gun: Last of the USGI Garands produced, known as the Springfield 6-million series, these were made in the mid 50’s when the M14 began taking over.
I purchased this lovely green park color M1 directly from the CMP ten years ago. The 6 mils were a limited time availability. It came in a new production birch stock which I dyed and oiled to the Arsenal red color. This is a service grade, quite nicer than the field grades and Philippine returns coming out currently.

National match Springfield barrel dated 1954 on this beauty is best described as close to new. Round count is less than 50 rounds from me. The bolt, trigger group and op rod are all Springfield as it came from CMP.

$1400. Included in the sale will be the CMP document in my name, original CMP armorer’s hang tag and hard case. I’ll throw in a few en bloc clips too.
