Is that one of the .38/55’s or a .45/70? I’ve always wanted a big rolling block. I’ve got a couple of .22’s and a .32 rimfire that I am going to convert to 32 SWL.
The rolling block is a 45-70. The 38-55's are all lever guns. Top one is a Marlin 1893 take down made in 1898 if I remember
correctly. Middle is a Winchester 94 made in 1895 and the bottom is a Chief Crazy Horse.

How do you mean? I've been wanting to load some of those myself, if I can ever find any in stock, so I'm curious about your experience.
It has been hard to get the thing to cycle.
With a single round, it fires, ejects and locks back properly.
When 2 or more in the mag, it would not feed the second round and jammed.
It took awhile to realize that standard 556 mags, which work great with supersonics, just will not work with subs 180gr or greater.
Got a Lancer dedicated 300blk mag and it runs subs like a well oiled machine.
I have found 1680 to be the most consistent powder for those subs at about 1000fps.

Finished up some 357 loads with Hornady 158gr hollow points and then made some 38 special plus p with the same projectile.
Shot the 38spec; they have some good zip in them for sure.

Finished a final trim and champhering and case gauge check on 250 cases of 300 Blackout brass yesterday. Put 200 once fired cases of 45 ACP brass in the tumbler, today for later this winter sometime.

My rig sits quietly in the garage, awaiting the results of a semi-new 5,56 recipe I worked up for midrange (300-600). I had hopes early this year to try it out at Atterbury with the CIHPRS. But, again, life got in the way of that hope.

Just finished some 44spl for a range trip tomorrow. Taking advantage of the halfway decent weather we're having to keep the old wheel guns exercised.

Been reloading 308s and 6.5 Grendel's lately for deer hunting. Using Hornady 150gn SSTs on the 308. They shoot great. Using Sierra 120gn Pro Hunter's on the 6.5 Grendel. They stop deer in their tracks...
