I’m finishing up a batch of 200g 300BO plinking rounds and am starting to set up a toolhead for .357 Sig. I’m going to put a batch of 45 Colt together but will not set a toolhead up for that.

Making more 300 Blackout brass. Loaded 200 rounds with new Starline brass with 150gn. FMJBT factory seconds for plinkers this summer, yesterday evening. I have very good results with Hodgdon CFE BLK powder for reloading this ammunition.

.45 ACP for the last month or two. Have to do a little sorting and case prep here and there when I can find time. Only have time to make small batches....100 or 200 at a time.

Had the good fortune to trade with, or purchase from, several fine gents here and now find myself with roughly 4,000 pieces

So far, 4.7 grains of Titegroup under a 230 gr. plated Xtreme or Berry's bullet @ 1.260" OAL had worked just fine in my Springfield Garrison. I'm finding a Government 1911 to be very much to my liking. Shame it took me 15 years of shooting to figure that out.

A lot of 45 auto lately since large pistol primers is what I have most of. Mostly 185 Nosler and Zero. Hornady 200 HAP shot well in Springfield Range Officer too.

500 Zero 240 JSP arrived this week so time for some 44 Mag.

How do you like that cfe blk? I've seen mixed reviews on it. I have been loading 220 gn subs which I use h110 for. I've used h110 for years and don't have any specific reason to change it up. Just wondering. The other cfe powders I've used seemed dirty to me.

Today I reloaded some 22 TCM since they're starting to really climb in price! First I spent a ton of time cleaning, sizing, trimming, chamfering, and cleaning primer pockets of the brass. It turns out that the 22 TCM requires the same amount of case prep as it's older brother the 223. Anyway, then I install a Winchester SPM primer, 11.5 grains of H110 and topped it off with a Hornady 35 grain V-Max .224 projectile. These guys do about 2,100 fps and can penetrate about 16 inches or so. Oh yeah, there is a massive fireball with almost no recoil which makes these a blast to shoot!

Got done with .30 carbine. Need to cast and gas check a batch. I'm out.
Found more .270 and .243 brass so I'll start prepping that until I get casting weather. Been busy in the hospital though so full stop for now.

I’ve is CFE BLK and I like it. It runs well from supers to subs. I didn’t like H110 as I couldn’t get reliable bolt hold open on subs. I only shoot subs now with IMR4198 because it was the quietest powered I’ve tried and locks open even on the lowest charge.

The CFE BLK is a little more “poppy” but still very quiet

If you wouldn't mind, could I check that recipe out? I have a pound or two of imr4198 and would like to try it.
