I graduated college in May with my BS in computer science, and moved out to Indianapolis with my my girlfriend who is going to UINDY for her doctorate in clinical psych. I have been looking at all the job websites like monster, craig's list, career builder, cumulus jobs etc. and have sent out about 80 resumes. Needless to say I didn't hear anything from about 90% of the places, but one place that I did hear back from and was very excited about was Amazon.com!
I started the interview process with a phone interview in the beginning of August.
Next was a face to face interview with their lead IT guy and another tech
Then a face to face interview with 4 people (2 IT, operations manager and someone from HR)
Then a technical phone interview
Then a "bar raiser" interview on the phone.
So... 5 interviews later, about a month of waiting and alot of prayers I finally got the call today...
"This is _____ with Amazon.com and we would like to extend an offer....."
Before he could even finish telling me about all the benifits I said "when can I start!?"
They offered me a great sallary, good benifits and a $3000 sign on bonus, payable immedietly!
So, that glock I have been dreaming of is finally getting purchased
For anyone out there that is looking for a job and having a hard time just keep your head up, and the perfect opprotunity will come along to you.
Just thought I would share the good news!
