So, we were about the only ones on my street to clear our driveway today. With about 14" of snow (at least, it came almost up to my knee), we were shoveling about every 45 minutes just to keep up. Just to thumb my nose at my lazy neighbors who are now buried in their houses, I wheeled the Weber out to the middle of the driveway to grill up dinner. My daughter was absolutely thrilled about having a barbeque in the middle of a snowstorm. The schadenfreude sauce on the chicken breasts was delicious. :):

Later, I spent some time leaving a good first impression in the newly-created snow dunes erected by my shoveling efforts. Alas, no photos of the various ass and face prints.

How did you celebrate the first major snow storm of the 10's?

I have celebrated it by freezing my ass off taking runs. Mostly power lines down, and EMS runs for people who should have never called in the first place. I am now 25% done with my 48 hour shift.

Trade time, for a guy who wanted off to push snow. If I had known we were going to be this busy I would have been at home in front of the fire place drinking a beer with the wife.

If it were overtime I wouldn't complain in the least.

It didn't start getting windy until I was already done with dinner. It was actually pretty pleasant weather, except for the storm.

In 2004 we were home on leave at Christmas when 33 inches of snow dumped. We got home to Virginia and got 14 inches. Somewhere there is a picture of my grill fired up in the snow after I shoveled a path into the back yard. I've used a chimney for years, but charcoal and lighter fluid in the snow makes a great picture.

Gotcha. You know I was gonna give you a hard time if it was OT!
