Disassembled it for routine cleaning, and sometimes when I put the slide back on I have to force it, and this time when I did part of the FCU did not engage the slide. I took the fcu off the frame and tried to push it off but no luck. Anyone have a solution or suggestions? 18135F2F-AC55-410D-87D5-153574E92869.jpeg

I can't really tell from the pictures but the misalignment appears to be serious. Was the slide moving backward or forward when it jammed? Reversing that direction *might* clear the problem. Barring that, find a good gunsmith near you to get it squared away, and make sure nothing is out of spec.

Can you remove the end plate from the slide to release the striker?
That might be what's holding it together.

@jmorearms have you given a look at the URL I posted? there is a video there and a couple of ways to take care of it in the post on Sigtalk. As @AllenM mentions, one of the potential solutions is removing the end plate from the slide.

Curious if you got this fixed yet.

ended up getting it fixed, fcu had to be taken apart as well as the striker.
