so, this is my mental defect, I complain about always being to busy.
but give me one day of being caught up and I start looking for other things to add to my work load.

Anyway, would there be much demand for choke threading? It's not cheap to tool for and the only setup I have is old style Winchoke.
But I am considering adding to that if you guys think there would be much demand.

What does it cost to have a shotgun barrel threaded?
Can any shotgun barrel be threaded?

Sir, as a master machinist & a safety guy, may I say, with out any barrel support, like a stead rest, you are flirting with disaster.
The pilot on the tap is not suitable for work support.
A cheap & dirty way to do a support on a tapered item, is to get tube out of a roll of TP , grease up the inside, slide this over the barrel, bring the steady rest up the work and proceed.

Unless you are going into it bigtime -Tooling expense for the hundred different chokes would be expensive. browning alone has three choke types in four different gauges.
I know :( thats why I have not pursued it, however there are rental alternatives to buying for each one. This doesn't overly excit me. But I do get a few requests I am just throwing

Two different shotguns. One is a Mossberg 930 Tactical that is not threaded for choke tubes the other is a short, but legal NEF single shot that was cut down short and it eliminated any choke. The NEF is for quick access to control critters that get too close to the house.

Yeah I had Allen do my Mossberg 930 shotgun barrel a couple of years ago and it's perfect.
If I remember right, that one die does all these chokes:
    Mossberg Accu-choke
    Winchester Win-choke
    Browning Invector
    Weatherby Multi-choke
