Need some assistance here gang. In your opinion what would be a fair price for a Shield .40 that was purchased last October with about 300 rounds shot thru it. Thanks!

Cool. It's not easy to walk in a store and find one. Either people will be on the waiting list for months or they buy a used one. Either way, they are usually about $450-$500. Congrats on the find.

$450 is a good number, HOWEVER, I have the 9 and shoot it, I also have Glock 40's, I am not sure I would enjoy the Shield in a .40, the back strap is fairly narrow, see if they will let you shoot it before you buy it.
OR buy it, knowing you can sell it if you don't like the kick

$400-450 considering the demand for any subcompacts. It'd be safe to assume the .40's won't be as popular as the 9mm versions so they should be easier to come by.

I owned a .40 and the "kick" is a myth.

Don't pay over msrp for a used gun. People are taking advantage right now because of the panic buying and lack of inventory. Don't feed that fire, and don't be a part of the craziness. Remember, the GOP runs the house.

And in this case, this is not one of the weapons that's even threatened by a ban, so there's no need to rush and buy it at an inflated price.

If you can't find one used for at or under msrp, go into a few stores and put your name ont he waiting list. Put some cash down. You should have one in a couple months at the very worst.

I just paid $500 for a brand new 9mm Shield, and that included shipping. I had to pay $20 to my FFL then so it was $520 total. They are very hard to find but not impossible. I put it out there and found one in about 4 days. If you want a new one check with J. Osbornes Gunsmithing and Firearms. John got me mine and offered me my choice of 9mm or .40. No waiting list.

Thanks for the input. If I do sell it I am not going to price gouge anyone. Just looking for a fair price for the gun.
