Saiga 74 front sight

I'm wanting to shorten the barrel, pin a muzzle device and add a new front sight on my Saiga. Anyone off hand know the barrel measurement for the new front sight? Looking on the KVAR sight, like everything AK , everything is a little different, will a Romanian or Bulgarian front sight work?

The Saiga's come in 2 sizes. Most of the newer ones are .57", but some of the older 223 ones are .59". If you are putting it on a 308 or 410, the barrel will need turned down.

This picture is of a Saiga .223 with the K-var Bulgarian AK-100 series Front Sight/Gas block combination. This should fit your barrel with no problems. K-var also sells the muzzle device below, it will work as a barrel shroud if you don't want to cut your barrel or you can cut your barrel and pin it to get you to the legal length.
