Back to the Future got so much more attention, but that's understandable. I had a friend from HS that was studying computer science at U of I Champaign-Urbana back in the early 90s. On Jan 12 1992 they had a birthday party. Hey, that's coming up Tuesday. 10 internets for that one :)

But now I have to rewatch it to see if that is really the inception date.
I keep seeing that Back to the Future picture, and people keep photoshopping the date.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears...in...rain.
    Time to die.

All time favorite movie right there, and Rutger Hauer's portrayal of Batty was masterful, especially here.

J F Sebastian was found in the Bradbury building, which is a real place, not just some soundstage. It's not really that tall, though. Its architecture was designed early in the last century as a model for what the architect envisioned being built in 2000. It's been used in many movies and TV shows, notably the Outer Limits episode Demon With a Glass Hand, with the chick that would later play T'Pring on Star Trek.

I'm getting a lot more of my brain back, but much of it is geek.

    Have it on DVD.

I hope that you kicked in the extra for the Final Cut Edition.
I have that edition on both DVD and Blu-Ray.
A proper release of the movie was a long time coming and greatly anticipated, and I can honestly say that they didn't disappoint in the slightest.
Lots of extras and background on the development and production of the movie, plus some really interesting facts are revealed about what happened after it was originally released, including the fact that they nearly lost all of the original film reels.

One of my kids got me the DVD a couple of years ago for Christmas to go with the big flat-screen TV they got for us. It was great on the big HD screen.

Only thing is, I can't see the part with the eye-ball guy without thinking "Seinfeld.......four!?".
