    This election is a mess...

Liked Cain.... they got rid of him
Considered Newt for a second... they pretty much got rid of him

Considered breaking in and just accepting Romney... (must have lost my mind for a second)
Oh "GOD" Im simply not sure I can do Santorum

Where is that little old man at, or that loud lady with the glasses when you need them?

The GOP surely is making it hard

I don't like Romney in the slightest, but this was a State issue that the majority of the State at the time was for. He did what "his" people asked of him at the time. A majority of both sides of the legislature voted in by the people supported this crap. People always preaching about letting states control their own matters should not be worried about this. This wasn't federal, but a State matter. I can't hold this against Romney. He has plenty of other crap to bash him about that he did all on his own.

I understand where you're coming from and I half agree. However, I can hold it against Romney on the basis he is willing sign away the second amendment. He's an eel in snakes clothing.

So, basically, what you are saying is that he is a sheeple, and simple went along with the flow, rather than standing up for the citizens constitutional rights?

the constitution was put in place...to protect INDIVIDUALS from the gov't ...as WELL as the masses.

I agree. I have been sorely disappointed with the choices this election cycle. I despised voting for Juan McShame in 2008...but I realized what electing a socialist like Obama meant to our freedoms.

It's beginning to look like 2008 all over again.

He was no better than Romney or Newt, he's just another globalist. Good riddance.

Considered Newt for a second... they pretty much got rid of him
Thank God he's out of the race. The man has absolutely no regard for the Constitution.

Considered breaking in and just accepting Romney... (must have lost my mind for a second)
Thank goodness you came to your senses.

They're running lefties against a lefty. That leaves people with real conservative values holding the bag once again.

Big "R" or big "D" next to the name, it doesn't matter. It's still just Washington politics...It's the system, not the people.

I don't like any of them, save for maybe Paul. I thought about voting for him and getting a bumper sticker that says, "Don't blame me, I voted for Ron Paul."

This has been how the republicans have been acting for decades. I haven't forgot Bob Dole. They really believe that putting forth a moderate is the best way to elect a Republican president. So we get 3rd party candidates like Ross Perot that split the party. The real conservatives have to hold their nose to vote republican. It's been that way since Reagan left office.
    Makes me sad. :(

Edit: I think Ron Paul is the only one left.

An issue is a "states' rights issue" when it is not specifically addressed by the U.S. Constitution. I think Gov. Romney's response should have been, "this is a federal issue since this falls under the umbrella of the U.S. Constitution and I will have no part in circumventing the supreme law of the land."

Romney will not have my vote just as McCain did not have my vote. It's time for us to forego the "lesser of two evils" mentality and vote for who YOU think is truly best qualified for the job.

There is only one candidate that Id vote for and that is Ron Paul but most people just think he a nutty old man, but I think hes probably the most realistic of the bunch. Sadly looks like he isnt getting anywhere

Exactly. The "lesser of two evils" has damn near put our country out of business. These "lesser evils" have absolutely destroyed our economy, liberties and world standing.

I'm not doing it anymore. Everyone one of us that vote for neo-cons like Bush are to blame for the mess we currently find ourselves in. Trying to fool yourself by saying "he was better than the other guy" is a total cop out. You (me included) put him in office, thus we are directly responsible for wrecking our country. I wish I could say I didn't vote for Bush...

I will be able to say I didn't vote for Romney.

After seeing what is happening to our Republicans, I'm beginning to think Obama's men have bought off the republicans running. I'm starting to think Obama is paying Romney to run. I think That Romney is a Democrat at heart. This is a scam to get Obama re-elected.

I don't believe it's a scam, it's an conspiracy. The Democrats and the Republicans are one in the same and have been for a couple of decades. We're being lead down a path by our masters and the whole time the masses think they have free elections.

    We don't.

We're given two choices that are carefully picked. No matter who gets elected, their leftist/globalist agenda gets moved forward.

That's why we'll never see a viable 3rd party, the powers that be won't allow it.

I'm a relatively liberal person, and I'll probably be voting for Paul. I don't agree with him on all the issues, I don't even agree with a good bit of his ideology, but at least he stands for SOMETHING*.

*That isn't what the lobbyists are buying.
