This should be interesting. I own a Norinco with a Tapco stock, never shot a Romainian. I know the Yugo has some difference in the gas port, but not sure what. I think it's basiclly the same though. I think the Romainians are the cheapos though.
I remember the difference after looking at a Yugo yesterday. The yugo has a front flip-up sight used in conjuction with the rear sight (flipped up?) for long range shots. That's the only difference besides the muzzle brake that I saw.

Yugo's are a whole Different animal than Romy's or Chicom.
Yugo M59 is the standard SKS design just not a chromed Barrel.
Yugo M59/66 has a different gas system with a valve for the Grenade launcher.
Flip up night sights, Grenade Launcher sights, and Grenade launcher.
