It has it's first 200rds ran through it.
The 1st 70rds was a little tough but after that it ran just fine.
    Here is what I used.
    20210122_145852.jpg
It wasn't full 10mm yet it was tossing them 30+ feet away. Lost 15 brass in the grass. I have a big tarp down and those first 27rds were tossed to Michigan. Definitely will be waiting for the 22lb recoil spring i have ordered in before using full power 10mm rds. I grabbed my brass catcher and sit down at my table for the rest of what remained of the 200rds.
This was off a rest at 30 feet. 9rd group 1.771"
    20210122_150617.jpg
It got cleaned lubed and I treated the holster with lanolin.

Edit: I did find that the thumb safety was a little loose i guess would be the word. If you barely touch it it pops up and safety is on. I chatted with CM he has me pointed in the right direction. I can see this being a problem if you actually had to use this in a self-defense situation and that safety pops on. I've contacted RIA will see what they say. Other than that I can't see anything else wrong with it. I am a 1911 novice though. I'm sure the 1911 Guru's on INGO could find all kinds of things to do to it. This will be a good learning experience for me. For when I take the step to a more expensive 1911. I have to say 200rds and I'm hooked on them already. So easy to shoot and accuracy is great. Points well. All these years I can't believe I haven't had one. Now I need more.

Thanks for the range report. Looks like it's a good shooter! Please let us know how the situation with the safety plays out. That wouldn't be the end of the world so far as I'm concerned, since I like a single-sided safety and that's likely something I would swap out anyway, but I'm interested in learning how RIA handles it and what resolution you come to.

Nice range report. Hopefully RIA will take care of you with the safety issue. I just picked up an RIA from the LGS. It's not a 10mm though. It's an M1911 A1 Standard FS with ambi safety that functions well and an extended beavertail that is fit nicely. I must say I am impressed with it so far and wouldn't change anything.

Fit and finish is nice. Really good barrel to bushing fit. Barrel lock up is tight as well as a nice smooth slide to frame fit. No rattle whatsoever. I would say it has a surprisingly nice trigger too for a value priced out of box production 1911 with a smooth 3 1/2 to 4# pull. No sloppy up and down play either. It has an ever so slight take up with a clean break and short reset. Can't really find anything to complain about.

I own two other 1911s. An SA Ronin Operator and a Ruger SR 1911. For the money the RIA stacks right up there with them as far as fit and function goes. At least the one I got does.

IMO they've really stepped up their game.

Anyway I hope you get the safety issue resolved and enjoy your new found kinship with an entry into the 1911 platform. They can be quite addicting and multiply like rabbits once you get hooked.

    An update.
It's shipped supposed to be at RIA in Utah to get fixed delivery tomorrow.

I found out it comes factory with a 20lb recoil spring and a 25lb trigger/main spring from factory. I ordered a WC 22lb recoil spring and a WC 25lb main spring which I doubt I change since the RIA has one already. Have a question will the 22lb spring be enough with the square FPB? It was tossing them Remington 180gr fmj 30+ feet with RIA 20lb recoil spring. Need some advice on taming the ejection of brass to the next county. I haven't even begun firing Underwood and Buffalo Bore ammo yet.

Got my 22lb recoil spring, hope to find time to install in the next week or so. I hate honey do lists, they interfere with important stuff like range time and reloading.

I got a WC 22lb but the way it throws brass may have to go 24lb. I hope the FPB helps out in the brass ejection department. I'd really like to stand up and shoot without trying to find my brass 30+ feet away.

    Update:

Got my Rock Ultra FS 10MM back from my local gunsmith. He fitted a stainless steel WC square firing pin block for me. $35 was the charge. He said it took a little while. He did a good job. I put in the WC 22lb recoil spring and WC 25lb main spring.

Loaded up 100rds of 10MM with Hoosier Bullets 180gr FN 7.7gr AutoComp for 50rd and 8.0gr AutoComp for 50rds.

    7.7gr AutoComp
    Avg FPS: 1214
    ES: 27
    SD: 11
    FT LBS ENERGY: 588

    8.0gr AutoComp
    AVG FPS: 1234
    ES: 30
    SD: 10
    FT LBS ENERGY: 608

Both shot fine the 7.7gr AutoComp loads were more accurate. Plus I don't see the need to waste. 0.3gr for 20fps more velocity.

My son and I shot all 100rds so round count is now 300rds total. All so far are light, and medium 10mm loads. Trying to run through what I have remaining of AutoComp.

Here are a few groups at 30 feet off rest.
    20210306_134919.jpg
My 5 shot group 30 feet 8.0gr AutoComp.
    20210306_135906.jpg
My son fired the 1st 5 shot group of 7.7gr AutoComp his are covered with tape. He had 2 shots in same hole twice, and one off to left. My shots are the untapped ones.

The Hoosier Bullets did great for accuracy so did the 1911. Much more accurate than we were able to shoot.

    Well another update.
    I shot a combination of
    180gr Hoosier Bullets 7.2gr AutoComp 100rds
    180gr V-Crown Sig Factory 20rds
    155gr XTP 10.3 gr 800x 30rds

The avg velocity of each type.
180gr Hoosier Bullets 7.2gr AutoComp Avg FPS: 1158 at 10' from muzzle. Energy FT LBs: 535

180gr V-Crown Sig Factory Avg FPS: 1193 at 10' from muzzle. Energy FT Lbs: 568

155gr XTP 10.3gr 800x Avg FPS: 1503 at 10' from muzzle. Energy FT LBs: 777

    180gr Hoosier Bullets 18' standing 5rds. 1.194" 5 shot group

    20210615_114158.jpg
155gr XTP Draw and Fire 18' standing 8 shot group 2.513"

Now that lower one got away from me on the last shot. So I measured the 7 shot group as well. Which measured 1.748"

    20210615_113845.jpg
    8rd 18' 155gr XTP Draw and Fire.

I had to go with a Wilson Combat 24lb recoil spring and I added WC buffer as well. Then shot the above 150rds. It was very nice and I have it where I want it at least for now.

Now I have 450rds through it total. So far it's been doing great. Other than the hiccups with the first few magazines it's been totally reliable and self-defence accurate.

Sweet piece. I've never shot a 1911 in 10mm. I just got my first rock island earlier this year it's a 9mm gi and so far it's a great value for its price point.
The 155gr XTP were a little on the strong side. I had a Glock 20sf I shot these in and the 1911 platform actually calmed it down a lot on felt recoil. I still need to adjust the rear sight and move it right a little more it is shooting left. I keep adjusting it but forgot to bring my little screw driver this outing. :ugh:

When you are twisting your firearm inside it keeps it from messing with the finish and helps in rotation. After that I leave it in my holster with firearm for about 30 minutes and check again to see if it's too tight, and if it is I repeat the process. I use lanolin on the outside of my holster. I probably should use it inside also but it takes awhile for it to soak in. Right now I'm wanting to break in my firearm after that's done I'll put lanolin inside and out let it set awhile by the wood stove. Seems to help it soak in better.
    Lan...Lan...Lanolin? Like sheep's wool?

    Sorry...cheap Anchorman reference.

    Enjoy your pistol!

I've got a tactical model in 10mm I added a wolf 24lb recoil spring a 26lb hammer spring and a square fps. I did a little trigger work on it. I can hit 8" steel gongs and double tap steel silhouettes at 100yards pretty easy. It still throws brass from my hotter hand loads in to low earth orbit.

Put another 100rds through it today. I think I have it zeroed finally.

    20210616_100822.jpg
    180gr Hoosier Bullets 7.9gr AutoComp
Avg FPS: 1224 Energy FT LBs:
598 Target above was my final 9rd magazine.

The above I drew and fired 1 shot repeat target distance 21'. Working on my draw and getting my holster worn in. Cocked and locked each time to make it just like I would have to draw in a real situation. Pull my shirt up draw take it off safety and put a shot on target. Right now I'm running around 2.5 seconds and that is to slow for my liking. Going to take a lot more practice.

Total round count now 550rds. Still shooting good. Oh the trigger is really good now. I'd say it's close to 3.5-4lbs factory trigger no trigger work done on it. It really is getting smooth and a nice crisp brake.

Glad to hear the Hoosier Bullets are working in the 10mm. Thanks for putting your testing results on here, I have been using it is a reference to answer some of my customers.

    You're welcome. They work great.

I was able to get some range time in today.
    50rds of S&B 180gr HP, 20rds of Underwood 135gr HP, and 20rds of Sig V-Crown HP.

S&B 180gr HP avg fps: 1107 energy FT LBs: 489
Underwood 135gr HP avg fps: 1574 energy FT LBs: 742
The Sig V-Crown HP was documented in another post in this thread.

My best 5 shot group of the day with my hands rested on a concrete block with a 2x6 on top :): 2.011" with Underwood 135gr HP at 30'

S&B 180 HP my gun did not like at all. However, I now have 50 brass to load something better.

I've shot four different HP and it has ate them all.

    Round count is now 640rds
