    I picked up this little .22lr revolver from a fellow member not too long ago and have shot it before without incident. I knew it wasn't a revolver of outstanding quality, but it functioned and I had fun.

    I was through a few shots when I proceeded to pull the trigger, and instead of the usual pop, it made an odd noise.

    No one was injured, but it's an experience I hope to never repeat.

    I might be missing something here, but the cylinder looks to be okay (it isn't peeled like a banana. So the whole force of the explosion was through the back/pushed the force out the back of the shell causing the frame to break. I wonder too, was there another bullet or object lodged in the barrel (would be near the beginning of the barrel)?
