Is it possible to rethread from 15x1 RH thread to 5/8x24?

Who in Indiana can do this?(If Possible)

The threaded portion would have to be cut off and then the barrel threaded with what you need.
no big deal if you have a barrel that's more than 16" long and can take the hit. otherwise you will need to permanently attach whatever it is you r looking to screw on to be in compliance unless your a registered SBR or pistol.

I have never seen a threaded portion taken down and then have what's left threaded. taking down the threads doesn't leave enough O.D. to then thread again.
hope that last part made sense

15mm works out to about .590" and 5/8 is .625. A good machinist could turn your muzzle down to a smaller diameter and fabricate a sleeve that would go over that thinner portion. It could be silver soldered or TIG'ed in place and then threaded to 5/8". More work than a normal thread job but easily done by a competent machinist.

Would you happen to know of such a machinist?

A fresh bottle of Loctite red thread locker would hold this in place forever.

That might be ok for a flash hider but if its for suppressor use I'd want something more permanent. Lots more stress and definitely more money involved!!

A muzzle break that that will have a quick attach for a suppressor...

Favor's Gun shop in Terre Haute. His shop is just off Fruitridge. He has a full service machine shop in the his shop. Give him a call.

Im gonna go to the Outpost in Brazil... See if Duane can do it if he's not real backed up.
