They have one with a scope attached on Cheaper than Dirt for 300. Is it worth buying from there or will I be disappointed? Give me some input.

Ill look around more. I've never had a bolt action and am looking for one on a budget. Any other suggestions?

i just went through a LONG process of picking out my very first bolt action and i ended up going with the remington 700 cdl in 7mm rem mag. The bolt actions that i had narrowed down in my search was the model 700 cdl, Savage 114, & Browning x bolt. If you're looking for a lower budget i would suggest looking at the Model 700 ADL ( about $450) and while i don't have any experience with it, i've heard a lot of great reviews on the Savage Axis.

I've yet to hear anyone say anything good about the 770 platform. Everyone is saying spend the extra money and get a 700.

right now you can go to dicks sporting goods and get a 700 varmint adl with a heavy barrel and a cheap scope for $450. Just picked one up on friday. Scope sucks, but definitely a good way to get into a 700 without breaking the bank, and Its a decent platform to build off of with the heavy barrel.

this, a 450 dollar 700 will not drop much in value because the action alone sells for 400.

i dont know what a 770 action sells for, but it cant be much

Bradis did have the Savage Axis new for around $349.00, not sure if they have gone up since I was looking for one about 6 months ago. I have seen these in 22/250, .223, .243, and .308 and with or without a scope. They were $389.00 I think with the scope.
