I need some advice. I currently use the hornady auto charge and it does ok. It throws occasiona overcharge and seems to jump around the target weight a little. My question . Is the rcbs chargemaster that much better to justify the extra cost. I have heard a lot of great things about the rcbs. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I bought the Chargemaster combo a while back.
I haven't had a lot of time at the bench, but the Chargemaster has been great.

It zeros out easily and throws consistent charges.
I've only used a couple of powders though.
    So far so good.

My RCBS Chargemaster is consistent every time and have used it well over 4 years. Usually you can find it for less than $290.
    Great customer service.

I've had mine about a year and have been happy with it. It zeros easily, and by the time I put a measured charge into a case and seat the bullet, it has the next charge measured out. It will occasionally (maybe 5%) throw an overcharge of 0.1 grains, but it shows it on the display and I simply pour the overcharge back into the powder bin and push the dispense button again. I do check it periodically on a beam scale and it has been spot on so far. I especially appreciate it when working up a load and I'm loading 5 rounds, increasing the charge weight by 0.2 grains or so, loading 5 more, and repeat.

I have had one for several years and have loaded a lot of rifle with it.
It has never given me any issues. I don't do much rifle anymore but I still use the scale all the time. I give it a thumbs up
