    Further proof that when you create a .gov thing, it never really goes away. We USED to have a mandatory registry. That went away and I guess they never tore down the database. They just made it optional.

    What is the proper way to sell a gun to an individual in Indiana?
    Is there paperwork that needs to be filled out ?
    The guns are registered to me.
    I've found it helpful to verify they live in state, ask them if they are legally qualified to own firearms, and have them sign a bill of sale with the date, firearm info, etc. That way you have a record it was sold should that weapon be found at a crime scene and "they" follow the paper trail back to you.

    If you're really concerned and dont mind the hassle/fee then consider having an FFL do an official transfer.
