I'd like to know also. I thought it was a $200 fee to the feds, paperwork and months of waiting. Not sure though.

    Kel-Tec SU-16 D9 SBR Security Rifle 9"

    keltec_su-16_d9.jpg

NOTE: both the D9 and D12 rifles are classified by the ATF as "Short barrel rifles" and the appropriate license and/or tax stamp must be acquired before purchasing. This requires a simple form and a $200 Tax payment to the BATF. Impact Guns processes the paperwork to transfer this weapon to your local Calss 3 dealer. Impact Guns does not charge for this transfer. Your local class 3 dealer will charge a processing fee (normally $100.00) to complete the paperwork for submission the the BATF.

Am I correct in thinking that the feds can come to your house and ask to see the weapon at any time also?

Ok, Thanks. I'd heard that for years and wasn't certain.

ATF can request to see the form itself, but only with your consent. They will typically call to request an appointment (no middle-of-the-night or unannounced visits). If you're not comfortable having them in your home, arrange the meeting at an alternate location (ATF's offices or mutually acceptable neutral location).
