While I know having a foregrip is a fed offense if caught without having proper stamp or whatnot, I wondered if it was possible to "get around" that with a product such as in the link?

It is a bipod, but "happens to be usable as a foregrip if closed." I'm guessing it won't change anything, but I figured I would ask.

If it were just a bipod, then it would be fine, but it's a definite no-no to have a bipod/vertical grip combo like the one you posted. It's best not to "try to get around" anything regarding firearms laws....

Personally, I can't stand the fore grip. You don't hold a shotgun or a bolt action rifle that way so it feels unnatural to me. I just grip the magwell if I need to hold it up. Of course I'm not firing full auto or walking point all day with it either or I might change my tune.

That said, good find. That's the best looking bipod grip design I've seen. I wonder how robust it is.
