    A good sign
The CCI primers I measured were very old stock. I'd be the newer ones have the anvil legs protruding slightly, like the Winchester and Remington I measured.

Call me when that case gets down to $300-325 or so. Baseed on other inflationary numbers, that is where I expect them to settle out when that market gets back to normal based on other prices.

I’m a titewad. $250 is where they will have to be before I buy.

I used to pay $175 so a 30% increase is a lot to accept.

That’s why you have to seat the SA deeper. The anvil has to contact the primer shelf in order to work.
That is a good theory. I'm going to test it this week by seating the SA primers like I do American primers in my Dillon 550 and shoot the cartridges in the Sig M17 to see if they'll be reliable. If they are reliable, I'll put the blame on my improper cleaning methods of the striker assembly and striker channel of the M17. If reliable, it'll save me another step in my reloading process. Being basically lazy, that'll boost my morale.

I bought 40,000 primers before the 2008 election. Mixed types. I bought another 40,000 in 2011 when I saw what was going to happen. Less than $14/1000. Switched from 45ACP to 9mm in competitive shooting and supporting a shooting son too, I went through all that store pretty quick. Bought some Federal primers a few years later and kept them for my tuned 38/357 Mag revolvers. Got some Fiocchi sp primers and they were great. Don’t remember the price but it was okay. Recently bought the Uniex (spelling) and the work great too. 5.99/100.

Well, I think most of us have been forced to accept a 30% or more increase in the price of most other life necessities in the past 3 years, so...
If that's the case, why is range 9mm ammo back to being cheap again?
One can buy steel cased for $11.00 a box of 50, even buying in bulk a reloader cant use his brass and reload jacketed rounds for that.

Yeah, I'm seeing cases of 9mm Blazer, Fiocchi and S&B for around $250 online with free shipping putting it at < 300 to my door. It's still hard to hit that price reloading even with the ~$55/brick primers I get. I use AA #7 and once fired brass so i know i could drop the powder price a little but once you factor in labor, its still not going to be cheap enough to make it worthwhile. Primers need to drop to 25/brick and powder prices need to come down.

Years ago I had MidwayUSA on an email notice fast link. They were having an extended Black Friday sale. It was computer generated. An item could be cheap one hour and high the next. When Wolf SP primers got to $12.50 per carton I bought the Hazmat limit. A few days later they got to $12.75 and I bought again. At the time I knew a reloading dealer that sold them for $100 per sleeve.
    I haven't seen a case of primers since I was 13.

Brian, I'll take 5 or 6 cases of these again.
I weeped a bit this morning while opening them up.
