Saw a few threads/videos on "Prepping For Winter" in the last week or so...

I'm confused (happens more often than you would imagine).

    It's December,
We have had hard freezes already, the garden is dead, and should be put to bed for the winter...
If you haven't 'Prepaired' for winter by now, it's it too late?

Honestly, shouldn't last winter's wood be dried by now?
Or if it was green wood, shouldn't it be dried for 2 years now?
Shouldn't the garden be preserved by now?
All the stews, soups, meat or whatever be canned by now?
If you heat with gas, shouldn't you have filled up the propane tank with cheaper summer fuel by now?

About now is when our pantry, cold storage & root cellar is full,
I'm thinking of what I'm going to do maintaince on, or what 'Honey Do' projects I'm going to take on,
Stuff you stay busy at indoors!

Maybe I missed some hidden meaning... ?

You would be shocked at how many people lack any type of preparedness. No money in the bank for unexpected expenses. Bald tires that won’t get changed until they drive in a good snow. I work at a lawn and garden business, and can guarantee that we will get flooded by people wanting to buy snowblowers as soon as we get the first big snowfall. Then they will get pissed when I tell them we are sold out.
