pop up sights

i need some input on some good pop up sights for my AR. Never had to get any before so I am a little lost which ones really work well.

For a rear sight the Matech flip up is a nice one and it was built strong enough to be issued to the troops. They can be had new on ebay for around $50 delivered to your door.

If they didn't over tighten the bolt and break/bend the clamp.

They also have the tendency to pop up on their own after a while, a hammer and punch can fix that though. Battle Arms development makes an upgraded clamp and screw for the Matech too.

I've had good luck with Troy and Samson. The Matech is alright as well, but I've had friends with similiar poor experiences as MVician described.

Another +1 for YHM. (yankee hill machine). The EE over on AR15.com is immense, and there are always deals to be found over there on such parts.
