    Hi folks,

Can anyone here give a recommendation for a decent pistol rest that doesn’t cost as much a a nice handgun ?

I’d like to try a few changes on a gun, and want to take the weak link [me] out of the equation.

    Thanks !

I rest my wrists on any of the larger sand bags or even my range bag in a pinch. I would stay with bags no matter how you rest a pistol. Pistols tend to bounce on firing with some of the harder surface pistol specific rests and don't give me added accuracy.

Keep it simple and cheap. A Caldwell Deadshot Front Bag works for me.

These groups were shot sitting, two handed and wrists rest on a bag at 25 yards and 50 feet.

The bag suggestion by others is the way to go. I use a Wiebad mini range cube for pistol stabilization. I also utilize the same bag to support the rear/stock of my long range rifle.

The fill material is very versatile...moves when you want it to and locks in when it should. It's also not as heavy as sand.

Here's a larger version, if you like...
