Mammatus clouds are very cool and usually are around thunderstorms with unstable air.

Just a few neat pics from a trip out west last summer.

I thought I'd seen that rock before.


My wife and I started taking bigger trips starting on our 20th Anniversary and every 5 years after. On our 25th we went out west to Arches and Canyonlands National parks. Then up to Alaska.







I've got more of these and yes it's really nice out there.

A couple of years later we went back for the eclipse. Stayed in Yellowstone and drove down to Grand Teton.
We hiked in above Phelps Lake.

My beagles found this in my weedpatch this morning. I could tell by their bay that it wasn’t a rabbit. I went to them and told them NO and they went about their hunting. No harm. Hope mama moves it though.

I saw what I think are the first lighting bugs of the season early this morning. My pretty good phone cam could not pick up the lighting buggars.

Somebody with better gear or knowledge needs to get lightening bugs pics to post please.
