Great looking rifle. I tried to send you a PM but your inbox is full.

Yeah, I went with the M85 instead of M92 so I could stay in 5.56, to go along with my Arsenal SLR106UR SBR and all my other 5.56 rifles. I only have a VZ2008 in 7.62x39, so I figured I would consolidate down on one caliber (I'm not going into combat with it, so I don't really care that much about the velocity loss with the 8.5" barrel in 5.56).

I need to stain the handguards still. Hopefully, I can make them look as nice as some othe other ones up thread.

Even with the short barrel, I'm sure it would still serve well as a CQB weapon. I have always wanted to do a H&K 53 clone, but other stuff just came first.

Troy Sellars at In Range in Kodiak, TN. I'm really pleased with his work. The only issue with the build was the front latch for the stop. Some PAP M92's (mine included) have the serial number located on the left side near the front trunnion, so he couldn't cut the hole for the latch; it would have required that he destroy the serial number, which is a big non-no. I didn't really mind that so much, since I only plan on using it with the stock unfolded anyway.
