Does anyone have Cool Hands G-10 grips on a P226 or similar?

Wondering how thick they actually are.

They're listed a being 7/10 thick, but the frame is about that wide, so I can't imagine how that measurement can be right.

Pachmayr grips are thicker than I'd prefer, so I'm back to factory, but would prefer something in between.

I tried the Cool Hand grips on a P226 and didn't like them. The back strap was smooth and it made the whole gun feel different.

I replaced those with Hogue G10 grips and love those. I run Hogue G10 grips now on all of my P226s, P220s and P229s that aren't Legions. Hogue makes the Legion grips for Sig, so technically, I run Hogues on everything.

I believe the legion series has a version of the G10 grips. I really like them on my p226. I can measure them if you wan't specificics, but I'm sure they will vary based on design you choose.

Hogue’s overmold site pages indicated that the trigger return spring would need to be changed, but doesn’t provide much in the way of details on the G10 grips. Since they’re thinner, I would suspect not. It sounds like the newer guns didn’t require a new spring on those, but it looks like I’ll suck it up and get the Hogue G10’s.
    i just can’t believe they’re $100.
