I think Ruthie is going to be our new "critter gitter". She's been focused on the flower bed next to the deck, which is where chipmunks usually show up. She already chased one a week or so ago and I think she's been seeing them today.

A whiskey highball sounds refreshing. My grandfather used to make them when I was a kid.
I would spend most of my weekends, vacations, and summers at my grandparents, and my grandfather would have
a whiskey highball while watching his favorite tv shows and eating peanuts. He would allow me to take a sip of his drink,
    and that's a great memory.

My aunt (Mom's oldest sister) always had Dad make her a highball when she'd visit. She was a hoot. Her name was Geraldine and was a hooker for a little while back in the Great Depression to make ends meet.
