Ordered my first "real knife" last night....

so after much thought and debate, I went ahead and ordered a RAT RC-4.

My intentions going in were to order an RC-5 SERE, but I'm going to wait until I can get one with the newer Kydex sheath.

So I started hunting around, reading, watching videos on RAT knives.... falling in love with everything I was seeing.

Then I had to decide.... IZULA.... or RC-4....then I wasted another two hours trying to figure out which first... because now I know that I'm gonna have all three of these knives in a short period....

Since I just recently bought a Kershaw Zing for EDC, I figured I'd order the RC-4 for now, so I can use it for hunt/fish/camp/skin etc and order the IZULA next

Ordered from Cumberland Knife Works.... can't wait for it to get here.

The RAT 5 will be for the SHTF bag, but this one will get lots of use.

Shopping around, it seems that they're all being sold with the older style nylon setup. I agree, I'd really rather have the Kydex as well. I think I'll order the RC-6 first, maybe an Izula to go with it in case it gets lonely in shipping....
